Description

The clamp head is a load-bearing gripping component that mounts directly to the clamp cylinder piston and serves as the carrier for the tong die insert. During clamp cylinder extension, the clamp head advances and forces the installed tong die into the drilling motor or workpiece surface, creating the mechanical bite required for secure holding during torque and breakout operations.

The clamp head is precision-machined from 4140 alloy steel to provide improved strength and durability under repeated clamp loading and high contact stress conditions.
