Tailstock Suspension Assembly

The tailstock suspension assembly is a load-support and guidance system that allows the tailstock to travel smoothly back and forth along the machine bed under controlled load conditions. The system uses multiple spring-loaded wheel cassettes to distribute weight, maintain alignment, and absorb operating loads during movement and clamping operations.

Each machine tailstock suspension consists of four suspension cassettes, with each cassette containing dual suspension wheels and a spring-loaded support stack. This multi-point support arrangement improves load distribution and promotes stable, repeatable tailstock travel.

Wheel & Bearing System

Each suspension wheel is supported by two sealed bearings to provide smooth rotation and contamination resistance. The dual-bearing configuration improves load capacity and rotational stability under tailstock weight and dynamic movement.
